The women of New St James host an Advent by Candlelight Service annually and 2019 was our ninth one. This very special evening for women prepares us for the Advent and Christmas seasons in a very meaningful and inspirational way with a special time of music and worship. Prior to the worship service, fellowship and dessert is offered in the NSJ Hall, with tables individually decorated by hostesses to reflect our Christmas theme.
At the service we have an offering which is forwarded to “ANOVA” (formerly Women’s Community House) to support their work in the community. ANOVA works to alleviate the consequences of violence against women and their children, with the aim of preventing and eliminating family violence.
