Duties of The Board of Trustees are carried out in accordance with the laws of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.
Trustees hold all property and real estate for the sole use and benefit of the congregation, and protect the assets of the Trusts.
The Board of Trustees operates within the framework of the 1996 Trust agreement, which broadly defines the duties and responsibilities conferred upon the Board by the Congregation and the limits within which the Board is empowered to act without seeking specific direction from the Congregation.
Income generated by the trusts may be used to support the operating budget and to fund projects and activities apart from New St. James: locally, nationally and internationally.
